| In this system, we collected publicly available genomic sequences and their annotations for model plant species. From these sequences we generated protein comparative alignments between two sequences using GeneSeqer (Brendel et al. 2004) and produced nucleotide alignments using BLASTZ (Schwartz et al. 2003). We entered all of the comparative alignments, gene models and other genome annotations in species-specific relational databases. We then set up the system for biologists to explore syntenic networks, visualize macro- and micro-synteny, and analyze homologous genes in the genomes of plant species. Please select a plant species to start. |
